Hsinchu, Taiwan, May 21, 2026 - WNC Corporation (WNC) has earned further recognition, having been selected as a constituent of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class (DJBIC) Emerging Markets Index for the second time. In 2026, 36 Taiwanese companies across 11 sectors, including banking, semiconductors, and telecommunications, were included in the index. WNC is the only Taiwanese enterprise in the communications equipment sector included in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), from which the DJBIC is constructed. This inclusion reflects how WNC’s strong financial performance, product innovation, and market influence have earned the trust of global capital markets, further solidifying its worldwide leadership in sustainability.
WNC’s Chief Sustainability Officer Molly Lin said, “We are honored to be included in the DJBIC index. It proves that WNC’s resilient governance and forward-looking sustainability strategies have earned global recognition. We remain committed to developing green solutions to fulfill our social responsibilities and enhance product competitiveness, creating long-term value for both WNC and society.” The DJBIC index is one of the world’s most prestigious ESG indices, wielding significant influence among investors, and across supply chains. Based on S&P Global’s rigorous assessment, only companies scoring in the top 10% of the CSA are selected in the index. Consequently, companies must demonstrate stringent governance practices and superior disclosure quality to stand out among their global competitors.
WNC continues to enhance its carbon management systems. By implementing an internal carbon pricing mechanism, WNC not only puts a price on emissions, but also makes them highly visible. In response to the EU’s digital product passports initiative, the company has integrated ISO 14044 standards and product lifecycle assessment into key product development processes. In addition, WNC actively aligns with global sustainability initiatives. Following the SBTi validation of its carbon reduction goals, the company is now accelerating its net-zero timeline for Scope 1 & 2 emissions to 2040. Furthermore, by leveraging its corporate influence, WNC has partnered with suppliers to make joint sustainability commitments. The company has also implemented ISO 20400 sustainable procurement standards to foster shared sustainable growth with its global partners.
With regard to social engagement, WNC is dedicated to supporting rural education and smallholder farmers in Taiwan, while also implementing reforestation projects to safeguard biodiversity. To deepen its connection with local communities worldwide, the company has expanded its community outreach to its sites in Vietnam and Mexico. The Vietnam site las launched a new initiative to help children at the Tien Cau Hope Center improve their living environments and future opportunities. WNC will continue to broaden and strengthen its competitive edge in sustainability and its corporate influence. Moving forward, the company will collaborate with all stakeholders to drive climate action to higher standards and create shared prosperity.
